Why pay for a holder when a saucer works fine?
A saucer catches ash in one spot and lets the rest scatter as the stick burns down. The long plate here catches the whole length, so you're not sweeping ash off the shelf afterward.
Is the ceramic glaze durable, or will it chip?
It's a kiln-fired glaze over solid ceramic — normal handling won't chip it; treat it the way you would any ceramic dish and it holds up for years.
How fast will it ship?
